Ocean Active arranges customised fishing trips to remote destinations throughout the season to exotic and exciting locations in and around the Middle East, Indian Ocean Islands and Africa. We select key destinations each season which offer clients a chance of a life time to catch their dream trophy or rare species. St Joseph Atoll, Seychelles is referred to as the gentleman's atoll - it has amazing potential for catching Bonefish, Permit, GTs, Barracuda, Trevally and many more species. This live-aboard flyfishing experience to the famous St Joseph flats is one that will last a lifetime.
Northern Atolls, Maldives offers a live-aboard trip on a locally built dhoni. Most of the fishing is popping and blue water fishing for species like Sailfish, Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Dog Tooth Tuna, Bluefin Trevally and GTs - although we also explore the atolls for Bonefish and Permit. This is a rustic and relaxing trip where a sea plane flies us directly into the remote area.
Southern Oman is an untouched fishing paradise where we offer trips with both land-based and live-aboard accommodation. The luxury live-aboard trips focus on remote islands and sea mounts as we target big gamefish like Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna and Sailfish. The land-based trips are camping and rustic but very enjoyable - we spin and flyfish for Bluefish, several Trevally species, Grunts, Emperor, Bream and many more sought-after species.
